When I first opened my studio I did a few casting calls for creative sessions that I had in mind. When M + I applied, I knew they would be the perfect fit for this motherhood session I had in mind. Minimalist, open belly, cuddly and sweet. I started the session with these hanging floral instillments I made which I can't WAIT to use again. I just need to make a million more strands to fill the space. I’m in love with this session so much and I can’t wait to blow that little babes newborn session that I JUST hit export on!

After this maternity session, I remembered why I love them so much. They are so calm and joyful. The excitement and anticipation ice so evident in all the maternity couples I photograph. We were blessed with the most beautiful evening earlier this week. A few too many mosquitos but we made it work. These two came ready to venture into the creek, lay in the mosquito filled grass and were up for anything I suggested. They actually asked to do laying down poses, and that instantly made my heart so happy. I can’t wait to photograph their little girl whose set too arrive next month!

My love for these three almost four humans is so strong. Ashley has the kindest heart and is such a good friend. We have known each other since we were in elementary school but really bonded after having children and reconnecting. I am so excited to meet baby Needham #2 and love on her. Thank you so much to Kelly’s Kustom Homes for the use of the beautiful show home in Langdon, AB. This space was perfect for this intimate lifestyle maternity session in the heart of winter.
