Madison + Alex Drumheller Wedding

Madison + Alex were married in August and we decided to do a day after shoot (a month later) so they could have more one on one time for wedding portraits in a more relaxed setting. We decided last minute to change the location to Drumheller instead of a mountain hike and I’m soooo glad we did. I love shooting in the badlands because the neutral tones and all the textures make my heart so happy.

We had the best time hiking into the canyon and exploring this vast and beautiful land on the night before a full moon.

Chantel + Casey High River Wedding

I’m so excited to share this wedding with you, finally! I started my July off with these two as they shared their wedding day with Canada’s birthday on July 1st. They were married on her family farm just outside of High River and there ceremony overlooked the Highwood river. We had all the season on their wedding day. With full blazing sun, to strong winds, to a torrential downpour to a beautiful rainbow at the end of the day. I have to say it was probably the hardest shooting I’ve had on a wedding day due to the light changing every 30 seconds (or so it felt).

Quinn + Dylan Downtown YYC Wedding

Quinn + Dylan were the first wedding to start off my busy season this summer and this wedding did not disappoint. Wow, I loved every moment of it. Every detail was thoroughly thought out and the day was seamless start to finish. Dylan + Quinn were actually the winners of a couples giveaway I did a few years ago and I loved photographing them. When they booked me for their wedding I was so excited because I knew how strong their connection was together and photographing them is a dream. Dylan + Quinn were married at Venue 308 downtown Calgary with their closest friends and family.

Becca + Tarek’s Emerald Lake Lodge Wedding

We woke up on a cloudy morning to the sound of the snow dripping off the roof tops and birds chirping in the distance. The mountains were misty with a light snow falling from the sky. These two shared their first look on the frozen lake surrounded by snowshoers enjoying the beautiful mountains. They exchanged their parents rings and wrote the most heartfelt vows to each other with mount burgess clear in the distance. They spoke of their love, desire and appreciation towards one another. Their closest friends and family travelled to celebrate the start of this incredible journey. This weekend was a dream. Not only because it was in the most surreal location, but because these two gave me their full trust from start to finish to create utter magic. Magic is the only way I can describe this weekend in the mountains.

MEGAN + MATT DOWNTOWN WEDDING TEASERS

I met Megan through one of my past brides. Megan is best friends with her. But I remember before I even knew who she was, we followed each other on Instagram. I was shooting a wedding at a venue Megan worked at, which I had no idea. She came up to me and made me feel like I was a famous person and was just the kindest human I have ever met.

MARLA + DUSTIN LAKE HOUSE WEDDING TEASERS

AHHHHH. I just love these two so much. Their wedding was a dream to photograph and it was such a quiet, relaxed warm day. We did a first look in Fish Creek park followed by all the couples portraits and their family portraits before the ceremony. It was my first time photographing a Jewish wedding and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I learned so much and it was such a special day to be apart of. The energy, the love and the vibe was something I never want to forget. Here’s a few teasers from their day.
